Fighting Hate Should Be Self-Evident

Hate in our society is growing and is increasingly directed at those in all our communities and those I love. Probably those you know and love too. This is not what good people are about or what this country is about. If we don’t stand together against it, we will fall together.

I intend to fight the hate right here and right now by speaking out against this inhuman and anti-American bile aimed at marginalized groups such as the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, and anyone who is different, against the rounding up of people without due process, and about our slide into autocracy—basically everything against what this country stands for.
